So this was a tough one. We kept asking ourselves, would we be able to pull through not offering a sale price for our handmade keepsakes, when so many other album makers are doing it?

Let's just bring out into the open something we've always known. In order to offer a sale, a mark-up must first take place, otherwise how else would a business survive. Most, almost all businesses will mark up the prices of their products for the sole purpose of offering it for sale at a 'lower' price, enticing consumers to purchase during a 'Don't Miss Out, Limited Time Offer!' sale. 

We've seen this. From 1.1, 2.2, 3.3 and as far as all the numbers go, there's a sale. From Black Friday, to Cyber Monday to Post Cyber Monday to Last Call. From Mother's Day sale to Father's Day Sale and everything else in between, before and after. We've also seen 'Closing Down!' sales stretching months. Scientifically and statistically proven to actually work, these sales do draw in larger crowds and increases sales.

Not having a sale requires us to build a long term trust and relationship with each and every one of you. There's no enticing a purchase based on a sale, so it's way harder for us to in fact, make a sale. But in the long term, this builds trust. Trust that when you order something from us, there's no fear or concern about it suddenly getting cheaper the next month because of a sale. And more importantly, trust that what you are paying for is priced accordingly - an individually handmade product, made with skills honed over 15 years of experience and the use of good materials (do read our Journal entry on the materials we use, we are very transparent with that).

So this is us, placing our bets that we trust you to trust us, and that when you order something from us, it's something that is meant to be kept throughout your entire lives and longer, something you'll cherish every time you open it, look at it, and laugh or cry when it brings back vivid and sometimes forgotten moments. And most importantly and ultimately, it's because you this is something you really want and treasure, and not simply because it was on sale.
