Firstly, let me start out by introducing the paper(s) used to make your albums and prints.

We use one of the highest print quality in the world

For almost 15 years, we've been printing with only the highest quality inks and papers. They are archival grade and will last for decades and with proper care and storage, could even go beyond 100 years. Our papers are permanence certified ISO9706. Our combination of 12 colour pigment inkjet printing with our German made, archival papers offer one of the highest print quality in the world. Many other album makers, even 'premium ones' uses press printing methods (dye based inks, 4-6 colours) which almost always do not offer quality that matches inkjet, and most lasting around 5 years which you'll colours that start to fade.

There are 2 main reasons why so few other album makers use inkjet printing - its high cost and print time. Press prints (dye inks) would take perhaps 1-2 minute to print a 20 page album, whereas inkjet would take up to 30 minutes. Press prints are great for printing in large volumes, whereas inkjet printing is perfect for smaller volumes with beautiful details and gamut of color. This is the reason why fine art prints utilizes inkjet printing - for its quality, robust & vivid colours, longevity and detail.

Because of that, our print costs are considerably higher due to the unmatched print quality that we offer, which makes up a very big portion of the album or printed products.
